First, measure the interior opening size of your playhouse to ensure it is large enough for the window frame. Some playhouses standard window. Therefore, you should choose a standard size window like 12x18 playhouse window.
If you are planning on painting your playhouse, you would want to paint the exterior of the window before installation so that it doesn't get in the way when trying to stain or varnish. If you are not installing a shutter system on your windows, then measure for them after they have been added into place. You can build the shutters out of 1×4 or 1×6 material and attach them with screws (make sure it is not protruding too far).
3. Installing the Window Frame
Once you have your window frame, cut a piece of insulation to fit inside it then set it into place. Then cut a piece of cardboard that will cover the insulation. Cut two pieces of wood that will fit inside the window frame for support, set them in place, and attach them with screws. Then test it to ensure it opens and closes properly.
If you want to paint the interior of your new windows, make sure they are weather-proof by adding caulking around all seams or using exterior grade caulk. Now it's time to put your window into place, so remove all of the insulation and coverings that you just installed then set your new window into position.
